Starting July 1st, individuals and businesses will have to pay a 2% State Assessment Fee on top of their monthly utility bills as part of the 2009-10 New York State Budget. In response to the outrageous tax increase on energy, Senator Ranzenhofer is calling upon Governor Paterson and Senate President Malcolm Smith to repeal this onerous tax. 


We want constituents to be able to join the Senator's efforts
and sign a petition calling for the repeal of the tax.
